Final projects of the Dean's Award 2023

This year, the jury selected from 82 nominated projects. The winners will receive a glass sculpture, this year in the colour of rosemary, from FA graduate – designer Klára Janypková. The award ceremony together with the opening of the exhibition will take place on Thursday 23 November at 6 pm in the right atrium of the Faculty of Architecture of the CTU.

The Dean's Award is given annually to outstanding semester and diploma projects in order to cover a wide range of them. It is also a reflection of the quality and direction of teaching at our faculty. In its third year, the award will be given in the categories of First Year Studio Project, Studio Project in Architecture, Urbanism Planning, Landscape Architecture and Design and Diploma Project.

18 first year projects, 45 studio projects and 19 diploma projects were nominated. The winning works were decided by a seven-member jury consisting of Dalibor Hlaváček, Peter Jurkovič, Michal Marcinov, Jiří Opočenský, Petr Stanický, Lucie Vogelová and Tomáš Zdvihal. Final nominations

First Year Studio Project

First year studio heads could nominate one project from the second semester (Fundamentals of Architectural Design II, Fundamentals of Landscape Design II, Fundamentals of Design II).

Studio Project of the Second to Fifth Year

For this category, anyone or each studio head could nominate two projects for a given academic year. Studio projects from the 2nd to 5th year of all study programs, except for the diploma project, were awarded in four main categories: Architecture, Urbanism, Landscape Architecture, Design.

Diploma Projects

For this category, each head could nominate a maximum of one diploma project per academic year or each diploma defence committee could nominate one project. Diploma projects of all degree programs were awarded.
