THE BATHS OF SOBRANCE

Annotation
The diploma thesis deals with the rehabilitation of spa culture in Sobrance. The subject of the design is a part of the historical park in the vicinity of existing historical buildings. The newly designed bath house follows the original urban footprint of the extinct bath buildings and is sensitively integrated into the natural environment. The compositional solution pursues the ambition of harmoniously connecting the historical context, current functional requirements and the natural framework of the area, in the spirit of modern medical architecture.
