CONVERSION OF THE BUŠTĚHRAD RAILWAY WORKSHOPS IN KRALUPY NAD VLTAVOU

The thesis focuses on the design for the conversion of the former Buštěhrad Railway workshops site in Kralupy nad Vltavou. The aim is to create a new urban area that harmoniously blends respect for industrial heritage with the needs of contemporary urban life. The work includes a detailed analytical section dedicated to the site's history, urban context, and the condition of existing structures, followed by a section presenting architectural and urban design solutions. The result is a proposal that transforms a neglected area into a culturally, socially, and economically vibrant center, while honoring the site's intrinsic values.
