Faculty of Architecture, TU Dresden

The subject of my bachelor thesis is the faculty of architecture of TU Dresden. The building is located in the middle of the university campus between two dominant buildings - the Horsaalzentrum and the Beyerbau building. Together with architecture studios and student rooms there are clasrooms and offices, labs and archives, workshops and administration. The building has six floors and two underground floors. The main entrance is located in the east from the Bergstrasse street. Other entrances are from the northern park and from the southern square in front of the Horsaalzentrum. The long and narrow mass of the building complements the structure of the campus, keeps the trees in place and draws the students inside with its transparency.
