REGENERATION AND NEW USE OF THE INDUSTRIAL AREA WITH REGARD TO HOUSING

The diploma thesis deals with the revitalization, conversion and completion of the industrial site of the Pilsen paper industrial factory, which represents one of the largest transformation areas on the Radbuze River. The layout of the plant site has a great urban potential for defining public areas in connection with the surrounding urban structure. The proposal is based on a developed territorial study which assumes mixed functional use of the area with the predominance of housing and a balanced range of compatible job opportunities and services. The project is specific by the composition of an open lively urban block with is composed by the conversion of old object and by the completion of contemporary architecture
