Department of Urban Design

The Department of Urbanism at the Faculty of Architecture, CTU in Prague is launching the film series City and Film in the summer semester of 2026. The series focuses on the ways in which the phenomenon of the city is portrayed on the film screen. Selected films will present the city across different historical periods, social contexts, and thematic perspectives.

The series is open to all students and faculty members of FA. Admission is free.

Join our ATHENS course and explore the dynamic world of public spaces and POPS (Privately Owned Public Spaces)! As part of a network of 17 European universities, we share knowledge, foster collaboration across countries and disciplines, and engage with pressing urban challenges.

The purpose of the conference is to continue the debate on the cooperation between professionals in the field of built environment development and local authorities, especially in the extreme location of very attractive areas.
