The construction site of the Lamarr department store in vienna, planned by OMA, Rem Koolhaas, has been stopped. the investor is insolvent. the students have the task of transforming the shell of this house into the most beautiful building in vienna. A hybrid object for living, working, producing and for leisure and cultural uses.
Because we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the death of Franz Kafka, the author from Prague and Vienna, the building will also contain a Kafka museum. "the metamorphosis" is not only the title of one of Kafka's most famous books but also the name of our studio.
