TEREZÍN: VISION 2050 ---- INTERNATIONAL URBAN DESIGN PROJECT

Come together with the students of the Trevisan-Sklenář-Kurešová Landscape Studio and the studios of other universities in Europe (FUA TUL Liberec, TU Dresden), USA (MIT Boston) and Israel (Technion) to look for a VISION AND URBAN CONCEPT OF THE FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY OF TEREZÍN!
Work out a real urban assignment with the participation of the city management, local residents and other actors of the city's development.
The City of Terezín is preparing the assignment of a real CITY DEVELOPMENT CONCEPT and, in cooperation with students of urban planning, spatial planning and other fields of several Czech and foreign universities, wants to examine the potentials of the city's future development and answer, among other things, the following questions:
- What should the city of Terezín be in the year 2050, what should its image be and what should make the city attractive?
- What role should the city play in the settlement structure of the Litoměřice - Lovosice - Terezín agglomeration?
- How to work with the exceptionally high cultural-historical value of the fortress city in city planning?
- How to deal with the turbulent history of the former Nazi concentration camp within the city?
- How to take full advantage of the proximity of the confluence of the Elbe and Ohře river and the proximity of the magical Bohemian Central Highlands?

A UNIQUE URBAN DESIGN ASSIGNMENT WITH THE INTERNATIONAL OWERFLOW
PROJECT WITHIN AN INTERNATIONAL CONSORTIUM OF UNIVERSITIES FOCUSING ON URBANISM, SPATIAL PLANNING, DOCUMENTARY FILM OR ART
The initiator of the project is a world-renowned architectural photographer Ivan Němec.
Students from the following schools will work on the project simultaneously:

Initiation survey of the territory of Terezín + meeting with the city management + introductory workshop in cooperation with Atelier Trevisan-Sklenář-Kurešová + students of FAU TUL Liberec:

A joint intensive workshop of students from all participating universities + professional excursions around the city and its surroundings + a series of lectures by experts on monument urbanism of fortress cities and the issue of the Holocaust + participation with local residents + team building of all participants in the international project:

Joint exhibition and public presentation of all studio works of all involved students in Terezín:

Traveling exhibition combined with public presentations in Dresden, Tel Aviv and Boston:

Continuous media coverage of the international project in domestic and international media.

Elaboration of part of the own urban planning project in the form of a regulatory plan.
Are you more interested in urban planning and designing the development of a city or village?
Do you have an interesting urban planning project from your previous studies, a part of which you would like to further develop in detail?
Take advantage of the unique opportunity offered by Ateliér Šindlerová, specialized in teaching urbanism and spatial planning. You can continue with your urban planning project and develop it into a regulatory plan.

The topic of the diploma seminar and the subsequent diploma project is chosen individually by the student in agreement with the head of the studio Veronika Šindlerová.
In the Studio Šindlerová, diploma projects are processed exclusively on urban or spatial planning topics.
In the Studio Šindlerová, the preparation of the diploma seminar is an entry condition for the subsequent preparation of the diploma project.
