The effect of lime grain fineness on mechanical properties of several different types of lime and lime-pozzolana plasters is analyzed in the paper. Complementary measurements consisting in using lime of different producers for the preparation of studied plasters are done as well. The measured data show that the size of lime grains in the range of 63-200 um is not the decisive factor affecting compressive and flexural strength of lime and lime-metakaolin plasters. On the other hand, chemical composition of lime in terms of using lime of different producers for sample preparation is found very significant.
