This paper introduces research focused on experimental verification of methods for non-standard increasing operation life depending on flank damage (pitting) of case-hardened gearwheels. The back-to-back test-rig allowing definity setting of virtual power is described. Shortened lifetime tests of gearwheels are designed. The methodology for evaluation of pitting area is solved by using digital documentation and automatic evaluation of damaged tooth flank surface. The experimental tests are completed verification by using FEM system.
