Anotace

The Római-bank may appear abandoned  due to its decaying houses, disorganized riverside promenade, and fluctuating visitor numbers, all of which has been compounded by local stakeholder conflicts. Our prediction is that the popularity of working from home will continue to rise leading to increased workloads and potentially leading to alienating local communities. This also raises the issue of childcare, with time spent with family and community taking a back seat. The place also faces flooding, thus making the issue of flood protection a highly  contentious topic among the stakeholders. Our goal was to implement facilities that bring people closer to the existing values of the riverside, all while spending time together as a community. The essence of the Római-bank involves the tangible experience and the fact of constant flood risk, to which our answer can be aptly described by the ecological interpretation of the term "laissez-faire," meaning that humans do not interfere with nature but rather try to adapt and coexist with it.
