Krajináři a plánovači Regionální rozvojové agentury řeší v rámci projektu zejména koncepci celkové revitalizace a resocializace území Severočeské hnědouhelné pánve, mapovány jsou střety, bariery a příležitosti regionálního rozvoje. Čtvrtý pilíř se zaměřuje na obnovu, zpřístupnění a využití hnědouhelných lomů a výsypek a na vztah sídel a jejich obyvatel k post-těžební krajině a jejímu kulturnímu a přírodnímu dědictví. Výsledkem práce čtvrtého pilíře bude sdílená vize a komplexní koncepce rozvoje širšího území. V rámci projektu bude zpracována řada pilotních studií menšího rozsahu. Průběžně jsou poskytovány expertní konzultace v oblasti obnovy území, architektonických soutěží, participačních, mediačních a dalších nástrojů.

Projekt Výroční publikace a výstava – Krajinářská architektura na FA ČVUT | 10 let byl zaměřen na přípravu odborného a koncepčního základu pro budoucí prezentační a publikační výstup mapující desetiletý vývoj oboru krajinářské architektury na Fakultě architektury ČVUT. Výuka krajinářské architektury má v České republice relativně krátkou tradici a její systematické propojení s architekturou a urbanismem, jak je dlouhodobě rozvíjeno na FA ČVUT, představuje v tuzemském kontextu specifický a ojedinělý přístup, který vyžaduje odbornou reflexi a srozumitelnou prezentaci. V realizované etapě projektu proběhl sběr, třídění a analýza podkladových materiálů vztahujících se k pedagogickým, výzkumným a tvůrčím aktivitám oboru, dále rešerše obdobných zahraničních publikací a prezentačních výstupů (zejména v prostředí evropských univerzit, např. Univerzita Delft, obor krajinářská architektura) a konzultace koncepce výstupu s grafickou designérkou. Tyto kroky umožnily ověřit vhodný rozsah, strukturu a vizuální formu plánované publikace a výstavy. V průběhu řešení se ukázalo, že dostupné finanční prostředky neumožňují realizaci projektu v plném původně zamýšleném rozsahu. Pro vznik kvalitního a dlouhodobě využitelného výstupu je nezbytné nejprve vytvořit dostatečně robustní odborný obsahový základ. Z tohoto důvodu byla realizace rozdělena do etap. Prioritou se stala příprava odborných podkladů a koncepce budoucí brožury, která bude sloužit jako východisko pro následnou výstavu založenou na graficky zpracovaných panelech. Výsledek této etapy projektu představuje nezbytný koncepční a odborný základ pro další pokračování projektu a budoucí vznik reprezentativní publikace a výstavy, určených pro akademickou i odbornou veřejnost a pro prezentaci dlouhodobé činnosti oboru krajinářské architektury na FA ČVUT.

This paper presents the research background, methodology, case study examples, and final recommendations from five case studies conducted in the Czech Republic as part of the international project Landscape in Focus. This two-year project is implemented within the European educational program Erasmus+. Its main objective is to support and raise awareness among municipal representatives and citizens of small and medium-sized municipalities in planning, decision-making, and addressing landscape- related challenges. The project facilitates interactions between experts and local representatives, providing information, tools, and methodologies through a web platform, a brochure, and professional conferences. The project is built on case studies that showcase proven or innovative approaches to landscape management in four European countries: the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, and Slovakia. The paper focuses on five case studies from the Czech Republic, selected for their strong conceptual and sustainable planning. These cases consider land use needs, environmental sustainability, climate change adaptation, and the preservation of local identity, cultural and historical values, as well as high-quality public spaces and architecture.

Landscape features, including watercourses, are key components of urban fabric and identi- ty. Prague’s streams, whose headwaters are of- ten located in open landscapes while their flow is regulated or buried in urban areas, are ex- amples of hidden and transformed landscape structures. This paper focuses on the phenom- enon of Prague’s streams through the concept of landscape narrative as formulated by Mat- thew Potteiger and Jamie Purinton (1998). The landscape narrative provides a theoretical framework for interpreting landscapes as dy- namic systems where natural and cultural pro- cesses, historical continuity and contemporary uses intersect. Watercourses not only struc- ture the physical form of the landscape, but also carry layers of meaning that reflect social, ecological and planning aspects. In the context of Prague’s rivers, this method can be applied to analyse historical change, perceptions of place, and opportunities for river landscape re- vitalisation. The paper discusses selected methods of landscape narrative interpretation and their application in landscape architecture and ur- ban planning. It focuses on the identification of water features in the urban landscape of Prague, their ecological and cultural value, and approaches to their reintegration into the urban fabric. The aim is to present landscape narra- tive as an interdisciplinary tool that enables not only the analysis of river landscapes, but also the active participation of local communities and the promotion of environmentally sensitive planning.

Příspěvek představí Vládou ČR nově schválený dokument Politika krajiny. Politika krajiny vznikla jako strategický dokument reagující na potřebu koordinovaného a dlouhodobého přístupu k využívání a ochraně krajiny v Česku. Jako součást Politiky krajiny je připravována metodika krajinného plánování, která je nástrojem její implementace. Metodika krajinného plánování bude strukturována do tří úrovní – národní, regionální a místní. V příspěvku budou tyto úrovně přestaveny.

When we talk about rivers, we mean the watercourses that we see on the surface of the earth. But rivers themselves are only the backbone and one dynamic element of the river landscape. The river landscape is the space created by a river by the constant and long-term concentrated draining of water from the surrounding territory. Throughout history, humans severely changed the river landscape and adapted it to their needs. This has affected the entire landscape´s ability to retain water, resulting in a lack of water and the inability of the river landscape to cope with floods. In recent years, intensive construction in flood zones has caused more material damage and even loss of human life. It is clear that the current system of river landscape management is not working adequately. The river landscape should be reconstructed and its important functions restored as the basic hydrological system of the entire landscape is at risk. Presently the landscape is unable to adequately respond to climate change. To retain water in the landscape, it is necessary to initiate the fundamental reconstruction of the river landscape system to reduce water runoff from agricultural, forest, and residential landscapes. The way to ensure change and to improve the landscape is to employ comprehensive landscape planning and ensure management of the landscape as a whole. The river landscape is an element of fundamental and large-scale natural infrastructure. It is the result of longterm geological, pedological, hydrological and climatic processes. It is a shared common space for water, biodiversity and open space for people. In the near future, it should become a key nature-friendly area creating and fostering biodiversity. Landscape planning allows us to define landscape infrastructure as a public good. Functional infrastructure has a key stabilizing effect on the landscape and on the overall quality of our lives. If we return the river landscape to a natural form (at least partially), we will reduce the risk of major flood damage. The river landscape can also be an open space for people (flood river parks) and an ecologic continuum. Moreover, it is a biodiversity supporting habitat. Let us grant the river landscape its rights and return it to as close to a natural state as possible. In this way it can support functions to stabilize water in the landscape, as well as promoting biodiversity and becoming an open space for people.
