Anotace
The authors seek to verify whether the trend of spatial polarization, consisting of the selective migration of young people with higher education to the capital and accompanied by massive suburbanization in the hinterland of the capital and regional cities, continued into the period between 2011 and 2021, or how changes in this period compared to the previous 2001–2011 period. With the use of census data, the development of this polarization is monitored using indicators describing the development of the share of inhabitants and dwelling units, economic activity, demographic age, and the university-educated population for individual micro-regions. On the basis of these indicators, types of micro-regions are identified and wider areas with similar characteristics are defined. The resulting findings show that the gap between growing and shrinking micro-regions widened in the 2010s, and that the “soft” factors expressed by the proxies of demographic age and education will affect their future prosperity.

There is a raise in public awareness on environmental and health issues in recent years, therefore many municipalities changed their transport policy direction to become more sustainable, especially active mobility based. This study makes use of an activity-based demand model to simulate urban mobility and policies for sustainable transport modes in the Usti nad Labem district using an agent-based model simulator driven by a co-evolutionary algorithm. Two policy scenarios were created by considering the transport literature and analyzing the characteristics and behaviors of citizens as well as the properties of the study area. Three scenarios—the actual situation, a cycleway-infrastructure case, and a bus priority case—were simulated for the study area with MATSim software. Both policy scenarios resulted in a decrease in car usage, with a higher drop seen in the cycleway-infrastructure scenario. 9.11% higher public transport ridership and 2.45% more of public transport modal share are observed in the bus priority compared to the actual situation, however the car-related emissions did not decrease. 6.36% more of cycling modal share was also noticed in the cycleway-infrastructure scenario which, the transport modal shift is enhanced by 2.6 more times than in the bus priority scenario. Car driving hours were significantly reduced in the cycleway scenario (5535 h less in a day) where 445.3 tons of car-related CO2 emissions would be saved annually, therefore environmental benefits of cycling modal share increase in the study area is undoubtable in long-term.

This research introduces an innovative approach to industrial maintenance training by developing an interactive game using an interactive game developed with the Unity 3D engine and extended reality technologies. The game simulates the compressed air system maintenance, aiming to improve technicians’ practical skills and safety awareness through immersive, realistic scenarios. Leveraging Unity 3D’s advanced graphical and physics capabilities, it creates an engaging environment where participants interact with dynamic modules, enhancing decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical thinking. Gameplay involves guiding participants through the compressed air systems maintenance process with realistic controls that respond dynamically to user inputs, thereby allowing technicians to refine technical skills with a strong emphasis on safety. Performance is evaluated based on safety compliance and technical accuracy, demonstrating the value of game-based learning in technical education. This study highlights the potential of game-based learning within Industry 5.0, promoting lifelong learning and preparing professionals for future industrial challenges.

The publication focuses on selected types of public infrastructure: civic amenities, transport infrastructure, green infrastructure and public spaces and provides practical guidance that shows step by step how the economic effects of implemented and planned public infrastructure development can be estimated from available data.

Publikace přináší ucelený pohled na historii i současnost pražských nýtovaných mostů a lávek, z nichž některé, jako železniční most pod Vyšehradem nebo Čechův most, neoddělitelně patří k panoramatu hlavního města. Autory jsou vyučující z ČVUT v Praze, kteří se dané problematice dlouhodobě věnují. U každého z mostů a lávek – kromě výše uvedených jsou to ještě mosty Bohdalec a na Císařskou louku a lávky přes Smíchovské nádraží, přes nádraží Hostivař, Slavie a Strašnice – najdete zpracovanou historii od vzniku přes opravy až po současný stav, původní statické výpočty a bohatý obrazový doprovod archivní i současný. Publikace je primárně určena odborné veřejnosti a poučeným čtenářům technického zaměření.

Anotace
Měření bylo provedeno pomocí jasového analyzátoru (LDA), který umožňuje detailní zachycení jasových hodnot v každém pixelu pořízeného snímku. Následně byly jednotlivé expozice doplněny o jasový kanál a zpracovány do výsledného snímku pomocí metody HDR. Tato metoda umožňuje přesnou rekonstrukci jasových hodnot v celé oblasti jasové mapy.

Engaging in speculative endeavors beyond the confines of academia entails a deliberate focus on forging novel trajectories within the cognitive and knowledge-production realms of architectural research. It can be understood as an approach where research acts as a continuous path of inspiration and not (only) as a procedural tool for academic advancement. Within architectural doctoral studies, research by design and design driven research emerge as attitudes towards incorporating the artistic design processes in research, trespassing the scope of architectural research within academic boundaries.

Anotace
The disassociation between research and practice in architecture and urban design is a recognised issue, leading to an ongoing academic debate on the credibility of the field.Most authors agree that the irreducible nature of the practice, the complexity of the built environment itself, and its indirect and multidisciplinary shaping processes render the applicability of gained knowledge problematic, as researchers are inherently confronted with the dilemma of rigour vs. relevance. This paper explores the relevance of architectural research and constraints to the application of theoretical knowledge in practice in a particular case of urban interface. It discusses the benefits and limits of planning and design tools derived from the theoretically described causal relationship between the physical configuration of the public-private interface and its social effects on users of the adjacent public space. Through a conceptualization of the process, the article illustrates that the application of theoretical knowledge in urban design and planning can be significantly improved by considering the factors of scale and spatial context as well as the forming forces, values, and motivations of the actors involved. This theoretical dissection aims to clarify the contradiction between theoretical values and subsequent practice to help promote not universally good but, more essentially, adequate, sustainable, and equitable spaces.

Anotace
Závěrečná zpráva dokumentuje návrh a koordinaci novostavby atletické tribuny a stadionu Praha Děkanka jako součást širší revitalizace sportovního areálu Spartak Praha 4. Projekt je příkladem komplexního využití metodiky BIM (Building Information Modeling) ve všech fázích projektování – od sběru dat přes návrh až po tvorbu výkazů a rozpočtů. Důraz byl kladen na interoperabilitu mezi softwarovými platformami (ArchiCAD, Tekla Structures, Revit MEP), zavedení datových standardů a řízení verzí ve společném datovém prostředí. Tato zpráva navazuje na projekt evidovaný v Registru uměleckých výstupů (RUV) a rozvíjí jeho metodologické i praktické závěry. Projekt zároveň přispívá k rozvoji národní metodiky implementace BIM ve veřejných zakázkách.
